Pour L'Amour du Fils (Nantes April 2023)
I attended this show in April in Nantes - it was truly awe inspiring! I met some lovely like minded people and took some fabulous workshops ( one with Reiko Kato that was awesome - I must admit I was a little starstruck!)
Here’s a few pictures to give you a flavour
Ooh and did I mention I bought a rather special handmade handbag from Nantesjoo and next year I hope to teach here.
Malvern Quilt Show Awards (May 2023)
Whilst I was away in my holibobs in Palm Springs in May my "lads" delivered my quilts to the Malvern Quilt Show. On 18th May my good friend Sharon Cann attended and sent me some pictures to let me know I had won several awards!
I was awarded - Best Sampler Quilt in Show, Best Traditional Patchwork in Show , and a Judges Merit for Stonefields (designed by Susan Smith and long arm quilted by Sandy Chandler) and I was awarded - Best Art Quilt in Show and a Judges Choice Award for Breakfast at Tiffany’s (designed by Pride & Joy Quilting Studio)
It’s a long time since I have exhibited any work and to receive these awards was rather humbling, especially as some of the other quilts were absolute stunners.
Both of these quilts will also now feature at the
Festival of Quilts 2023 in the UK in August.
Sewing Street News (June)
SewIng Street TV Appearance Friday 23rd June
Whoop, this Friday I am diving back into the world of fabric and thread on Sewing Street with the lovely Stuart Hillard after a five-month break that feels like forever!
During the break, I've recharged my creative batteries and explored new techniques.
I am hoping to wear my upcycled denim dress featuring the “Girls” (adding a few more flowers today!). I will be bringing a gorgeous new quilt project featuring a Pixelated Rose using a niche technique, which will be available as a paper pattern and a lovely kit.🌹
Some of my most popular bestsellers will also be available including the Liberty Rainbow Pleat cushion and the cute Liberty Dresses Quilt!
Do tune in of you can - we will be talking about my upcoming book with Landauer Publishing, quilts and quilting techniques, the Malvern Quilt Show and puppies (yes, you read that correctly!)
The Pixelated Rose and The Girls pattern are available NOW as a PDF via the link below and the Frida Kahlo Cushion and the Georgia bag are imminent (promise)!

Etsy & Kudobuzz Reviews
Thank you to everyone who has recently taken the time and trouble to write such fabulous reviews on Etsy and Kudobuzz (on my own website). This makes a big difference to a small business like mine :)
It's really lovely to get so many great 5 star reviews and totally makes my day!
Thank you so much for being part of my "Sewing Family" and all your unwavering support and enthusiasm!
Happy Stitching Day
