This is a fun intermediate quilted wall-hanging project featuring a niche scrappy applique technique, and free motion quilting/embroidery. It will make you into the ultimate “bug collector” and is a great gift for grandchildren who are learning all about nature and “bugs”!
 
You can opt for a wall-hanging for each bug type or mix them together for a more eclectic look! The “bugs” would also work well as a rectangular cushion; just applique the bugs on in a 2 x 4 format with the background fabric landscape rather than portrait.
Most importantly have fun and make it your own!
